Aura Mode
Market sentiment and social intelligence for cryptocurrency assets. Track community mindshare, analyze social signals, and understand market psychology beyond just price charts.
What is Aura Mode?
Aura is Zero's sentiment analysis and social intelligence system. It aggregates signals from social media platforms, processes community discussions, and provides insights into market psychology and narrative trends.
Activating Aura
To use Aura Mode, click the brain toggle button in Zero's interface to activate it. Once activated, you can ask sentiment-related questions and Zero will analyze market psychology using Aura's data sources.
Data Sources
Aura aggregates market sentiment from curated sources across multiple platforms:
- Twitter KOLs: Curated key opinion leaders and influential accounts
- 4chan: Crypto communities and discussions
- Reddit: Cryptocurrency subreddits and community discourse
- Live News: Real-time news and market developments
- On-Chain Data: Blockchain metrics and activity indicators
New sources are being added regularly. All data sources and collection methods are proprietary.
What Aura Measures
Sentiment Scores
Overall emotional tone of discussions about a token or project:
- Bullish: Positive sentiment, optimism, excitement
- Neutral: Mixed or informational discussions
- Bearish: Negative sentiment, concern, criticism
Sentiment is calculated using natural language processing to analyze the tone and context of social posts.
Social Volume
How much a token is being discussed:
- Total mentions across platforms
- Trends over time (increasing vs decreasing discussion)
- Comparison to historical averages
- Spike detection for sudden surges in attention
Community Mindshare
The relative attention a token receives compared to the broader crypto market:
- Share of total crypto discussions
- Trending status (is it gaining or losing mindshare?)
- Comparison to similar projects
Fear & Greed Index
Market-wide psychology indicator showing overall sentiment across crypto:
- Extreme Fear (0-24): Investors are very worried, potential buying opportunity
- Fear (25-49): Cautious sentiment prevails
- Neutral (50): Balanced market psychology
- Greed (51-74): Investors are getting greedy, caution warranted
- Extreme Greed (75-100): Market may be overheated
Key Topics & Narratives
Dominant themes in cryptocurrency discussions:
- Trending narratives (e.g., "AI crypto", "RWAs", "L2 scaling")
- Emerging topics gaining traction
- Fading narratives losing community interest

Understanding Sentiment Signals
High Sentiment + Price Increase
Positive reinforcement—community is excited and price is validating that excitement. Watch for signs of overheating.
High Sentiment + Price Decrease
Potential disconnect—community remains optimistic despite price drop. Could indicate bottom formation or denial.
Low Sentiment + Price Increase
"Wall of worry"—price rising despite pessimism. Often a strong signal as there's less risk of euphoria.
Low Sentiment + Price Decrease
Capitulation—both sentiment and price are negative. May indicate a bottom is near.
Aura for Research and Due Diligence
Use Aura to research tokens and projects:
- Identify Community Strength: Gauge community engagement and support for projects
- Detect Narrative Shifts: Track changing themes and trending topics in crypto discourse
- Spot Early Trends: Discover emerging projects gaining social momentum
- Avoid FOMO Traps: Identify overhyped tokens and extreme greed signals
Limitations and Caveats
Manipulation Risk
Social media can be gamed:
- Bot networks can inflate mention counts
- Coordinated campaigns can create artificial sentiment
- Paid shilling can distort genuine community discussion
Aura mitigates this by focusing on trusted sources, but no system is perfect.
Lagging Indicator
Sentiment often lags price movements. By the time social media is extremely bullish, the price may have already pumped.
Not Financial Advice
Sentiment data is informational, not predictive. Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.
Privacy in Sentiment Analysis
Your Aura queries are private:
- Zero doesn't log which tokens you're researching
- No tracking of your sentiment query patterns
- Query history cleared when you destroy your session
Unlike social platforms that profile your interests, Aura provides sentiment data without surveillance.
Credit Usage
Aura Mode costs 2x the normal token-based credit rate. When Aura is activated, each AI interaction costs double the token-based amount compared to standard AI queries.
Best Practices
- Use as Confirmation: Sentiment should confirm other research, not drive decisions alone
- Watch for Extremes: Extreme fear/greed often signals potential reversals
- Track Trends Over Time: One-day sentiment spikes are less meaningful than sustained shifts
- Consider the Source: KOL sentiment matters more than random Twitter accounts
- Combine with Fundamentals: Strong fundamentals + positive sentiment is more powerful than either alone
