Wallet Connection
Zero requires a NEAR wallet to access the platform. Connect your wallet to start using private search, AI assistance, swaps, and blockchain intelligence.
NEAR Wallet Required
A NEAR wallet is mandatory for accessing Zero. Your wallet serves as your authentication and enables you to:
- Access all Zero features (search, AI, swaps, explorer)
- Manage your credit balance
- Execute token swaps and cross-chain transactions
- Track your NEAR portfolio and transaction history
Supported NEAR Wallets
Zero supports all major NEAR wallets. For the best experience, we recommend:
Meteor Wallet (Recommended)
A feature-rich browser extension wallet with excellent NEAR support. Meteor provides seamless transaction signing, multi-account management, and supports all NEAR account types. Available for Chrome, Firefox, and Brave.
HOT Wallet (Recommended)
A secure and user-friendly NEAR wallet built for simplicity without sacrificing security. HOT Wallet offers fast transaction signing and full compatibility with Zero's features.
Other Compatible Wallets
Zero supports most NEAR wallets. Meteor and HOT Wallet are recommended for the optimal user experience.
EVM & Solana Wallets
Zero also supports connecting EVM wallets and Solana wallets for specific use cases:
EVM Wallets (MetaMask and others)
Most EVM wallets including MetaMask can be connected for Ethereum swaps only. These wallets are used when executing swaps involving Ethereum-based tokens.
Solana Wallets
Solana wallets can be connected for SOL transactions only. These wallets are used when executing swaps involving Solana-based tokens.
How to Connect
Step 1: Navigate to Zero
Open Zero in your browser. You'll see a "Connect Wallet" button in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Click Connect
Click the "Connect" button to open the wallet selection modal.
Step 3: Select Your NEAR Wallet
Choose your preferred NEAR wallet from the list.
Step 4: Authorize Connection
Your wallet will open and prompt you to authorize the connection to Zero. Review the permissions and approve.
Step 5: Sign Authentication
For enhanced security, Zero may request a one-time signature to create an authenticated session. This signature doesn't cost gas and simply proves you control the wallet.
What Happens After Connection
Once connected, you'll see your wallet information in the top-right:
- Account ID: Your NEAR account name (e.g., "yourname.near")
- NEAR Balance: Your current NEAR token balance
- Credits: Your Zero credit balance for AI features
Daily Free Credits
When you connect your wallet, Zero automatically claims your 50 free credits (every user gets upon logging in every 24 hours). These credits can be used for AI chat and basic queries.
Access to Features
With your wallet connected, you can now:
- Use the AI assistant for NEAR insights and general queries
- Execute private web searches
- Get real-time token prices and charts
- Swap tokens via Ref Finance or NEAR Intents

- Track your portfolio and transaction history
Security Best Practices
Follow these security guidelines when using Zero:
- Only connect wallets you control and trust
- Review all transaction signatures before approving

Disconnecting Your Wallet
To disconnect your wallet, click on your account name in the top-right corner and select "Disconnect" from the dropdown menu. This will end your authenticated session and remove wallet access from Zero.
